US methane emissions three times more than previously thought

A new comprehensive study on methane emissions in the United States found oil and gas operations release three times the amount of the greenhouse gases tied to global warming into the atmosphere than previously estimated. Details of the study were published in the journal Nature in March. CGTN’s Ediz Tiyansan has more.
