“I used to die a hundred times every day because of the pepper spray.” A former Palestinian prisoner, who arrived at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Gaza on Thursday after being released from an Israeli jail alongside 15 others, recounted the abuse he suffered in captivity. The released prisoner said that he and others were regularly targeted with pepper spray, beaten, denied comfort and threatened with attack dogs.
