Meet Cyber, the self described “thrash-metal-disco band“ turned rap trio bringing Icelandic hip-hop to the international stage. Cyber are an offshoot of rap collective Reykjavíkurdætur, and are part of an emerging R&B and Rap scene in Iceland. Salka Valsdóttir and Jóhanna Rakel are old school friends, who initially set out to be a “punk-rock-thrash-metal-disco.“ In this See.
