In 2008, rookie photographer Joel Alvarez was working with a model that suggested he use electrical tape on her for the last look. He honestly had no idea why she would want this but to make her happy He attempted to use this tape as wardrobe. Essentially he just wrapped her in black electrical tape! Hence, the door was open! By 2012 Alvarez was selling his creative services to local night clubs in Miami and started working in every club... getting attention every where he worked. Before long, he was flying all over the world to places like Ibiza, Norway and Canada. Then, Instagram became popular and Alvarez's taped girl would show up everywhere on the platform.
