A minor (Allegro - Allegretto) 3:00 Sviatoslav Richter (1915-1997), piano Studio recording made in Prague in 1956. Richter played only 16 of the 24 Preludes and Fugues - he didn't like the other ones, and Shostakovich felt offended about it because he wanted him to play all 24. In Richter's notebook, we can read: “I find the five Preludes and Fugues recorded by Supraphon [1956] infinetely bet
