On September 27, 2024, Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah was killed in a southern suburb of Beirut. Nasrallah died under wave after wave of 'bunker-buster' bombs dropped on a densely populated area of the Lebanese capital. Israel's genocidal regime and the Biden administration claim that Israel carried out the strikes without the participation or knowledge of the U.S. government. Shortly after Nasrallah's death, Dimitri Lascaris spoke with Beirut-based, geopolitical analyst Laith Marouf. According to Marouf, there are serious questions as to whether Israel's airforce possesses the capacity to carpet-bomb Lebanon without the assistance of the U.S. military.
