I recently unearthed this great show from John Mayall which I didn’t listened to probably since the day I’ve recorded it. I should have posted it long before, I know … It’s a high energy perfomance which features a very tight band, two fantastic guitar players and Mayall on one of his best night. In the end, the people there they just didn’t want to that says it all. The (audience) recording has its ups and downs but all in all is still very enjoyable. Possibly to be played LOUD for best results. I only have six pictures (that alternatively are seen on the screen) that I took that night but they’re mostly out of focus, sorry… The b/w one is taken from the net and it’s from the same era showing John on stage with Montoya and Trout. What a band it was, folks. For John Mayall (1933-2024) “Father of the British Blues” who passed away yesterday July 24. Thanks for all the music and the good vibes, John.
