Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire. Title: “The King's Cup for 1,000 mile flight round Britain, won by Mr. A. J. Cobham - Europe's famous 'Air Taximan' in a D.H. 50“. Story about Sir Alan Cobham - pilot who flies around Britain. L/S of an aeroplane coming into land on an airfield, mechanics, race officials and enthusiastic supporters run across the field to greet the pilot. M/S of the aeroplane taxiing around the field, several mechanics in boiler suits hold the tips of the wings, as the plane comes towards the camera, the cockpit opens. Various C/U of the pilot - Cobham - sitting in his cockpit, he is seen talking to a man in a military-style cap. C/U of Cobham standing under the propeller with a young man and a woman, he gives the woman (his wife?) a kiss, they all seem very high spirited and laugh a lot.
