Since 2021, Reginald C. Adams, a Houston-based artist, nationally known for his public art, along with a team dubbed as “The Creatives,” have been painting a series of murals across the country titled “Absolute Equality.” The project started in Galveston, Texas, the birthplace of Juneteenth, and now includes 13 murals across major U.S. cities, including Washington, D.C., honoring prominent African Americans like Frederick Douglass.
