Puerto Montt is a city in Chile, capital of the province of Llanquihue and of Los Lagos region. The port commune is the gateway to the Chiloé Island and to the Chilean Patagonia, where the “carretera austral“ begins. It is bounded by the communes of Puerto Varas, Cochamó, Calbuco and Maullín, Los Muermos. Puerto Montt is located in a region with magnificent natural landscapes, attracting tourists: it is close to lakes, beaches, forests, mountains, ski centers, fishing grounds.
