Birmingham, West Midlands. 9th Annual Cross Country Championship of the Women's Amateur Athletic Association. Various shots of women athletes running a cross country course over fields. Natural sound. High angled shots of women reaching the end of the race. High angled shot of man interviewing one of the runners - Miss Halstead, probably the winner. She is from Lancashire but wears a 'Britain' track suit. She is pleased with her performance but thought she could have been quicker in the first half. Note: story is unusual as narrator is a woman.
