Taiwan isn't as big of an issue as you've been lead to believe. William Lai will become Taiwan's next leader but only 29% of registered Taiwanese voters voted for him in the recent election. His party, the DPP actually lost control of the Taiwanese legislature and will effectively be in a stalemate moving forward.
