The consecration ceremony of the New Chersonesos Museum and temple complex took place in Sevastopol 12 bishops and more than 100 other clergymen marched in a procession from the Museum of Christianity to St. Vladimir’s Cathedral in the Tauride Chersonesos, consecrating the main objects of the museum and temple complex: museums of Christianity, Antiquity and Byzantium, Crimea and Novorossiya, the temple park, the Griffin Arena amphitheater and the reconstructed Byzantine Quarter. After the procession, the opening of the monument to the Holy Prince Vladimir, equal to the Apostles, took place. The monument is installed near St. Vladimir’s Cathedral, which was opened after restoration. The New Chersonesos was built with unprecedented speed — in just a year and eight months.
