We expect the car to arrive in the 2024 model year, meaning it could go on sale in late 2023. While it will likely share the same suspension and chassis as the gas-powered G-class, the battery and electric motor will be new to that model. expect the 2024 Mercedes EQG to be priced in the $150,000 range when it arrives at dealers. We'll know more about the EQG's various trims and prices closer to the electric off-roader's on-sale date. The EQG is expected to be powered by four electric motors, one near each wheel, which will be individually controllable, which should improve both on-road and off-road driving performance. If this concept is any indication, the EQG will also come with a 2-speed gearbox that can be shifted for long distances. The EQG will use a similar chassis setup to the G-class gas, with advanced independent front suspension, which will help with road riding, and a stiff rear axle. The Concept EQG is equipped with a lockable box in place of a traditional spare wheel housing, to house the charging cable and provide some additional storage, but we still wish the EQG offered a rear-mounted spare tire, unlike the concept. #mercy @classyautonews
