Ohio’s blue-collar beacon, Stalley premiered the official music video for “Fresh Linen,” exclusively on @REVOLT . The poignant melodic rap tune is the second single off Stalley’s forthcoming album, Somebody Up There Loves Me, out on December 6, 2022, released via Mello Music Group. “Fresh Linen” directed by the master class rapper himself, Stalley, and filmed by Bolo is a testament to Stalley’s meticulous craftsmanship. The MadKeys produced track is a soulful street gospel full of hard-earned wisdom. The video depicts Stalley as an entrepreneur laundromat owner, assisting his clientele while the bearded emcee drops dazzling bars. “We need leaders here, I’m just trying to be of the light and try to lead us there, a beacon of hope/On the uprise, never seeing the slope/Push against waves how we steering the boat, the tongue sharp like a sword is/Tearing your throat these words get chilly when reality spoke.” Stalley’s latest “Fresh Linen,” and upcoming Somebody Up There Loves Me album offers a life-affirming gravity to his declaration that “God, family and morals” are everything that he stands on. ABOUT STALLEY: Stalley rolled out of the Midwest and into the ring as a rap contender with a deft and deadly flow. The Ohio native has quietly generated tens of millions of streams and collaborated with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Scarface, Rick Ross, Curren$y, the late Nipsey Hussle, and more. Along the way, he has delivered a series of acclaimed projects, including Ohio [2014], Tell The Truth Shame The Devil [2018], and Reflection Of Self: The Head Trip [2019]. During 2021, he capped off a prolific run with Gone Baby Gone. Of the latter, Earmilk declared, “Stalley reasserts his rap status.” Additionally, he joined forces with powerhouse producer Apollo Brown for the collaborative Blacklightmet with praise from Brooklyn Vegan and Pitchfork who proclaimed, “He strides between legacy-building, coordinating designer outfits with his partner, and deconstructing street politics in the face of loss with dizzying ease.” Partnering with Mello Music Group, he turns the page on the next chapter with Somebody Up There Loves Me in 2022, displaying lyrical virtuosity without apology. It’s Stalley leveled up all around.
