In 2011 Driftworks Bossman Phil Morrison finished crowbarring a V10 M5 engine & manual gearbox into his daily driven and track day BMW E46 M3. This video includes footage from the Nurburgring where it was noted it was over 130db on the flyby down the straight! What a noise!!! This was one of the most difficult and most expensive conversions we've ever done. It's a lot easier now days as you don't need £15,000 of Pectel ecu and loom, but we still get calls to this day from people thinking then engine just 'slots in'. I can assure you it does not!
