The last edition of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution wasn’t only based on a new model and platform, the technical side of the car was almost completely new as well. The 4B11T engine replaced the 4G63 which was a part of the Evo since the very first car. The Evo X never came close to the success of the previous versions in rallying and remained a comparatively rare sight on the stages.
