This 5-minute video records the passage of the train of SpaceX Starlink satellites of the G7-6 group launched October 29, 2023. I shot this on November 9, 2023, some 11 days after their launch, so the satellites had faded and spread out along their similar orbits. The location was at home in rural southern Alberta, latitude 51° N. This is real-time video, not time-lapse or sped up, and narrated at the camera as the satellites appeared rising out the west and passing overhead where they disappeared into Earth’s shadow. There were 21 satellites in this group, typical of the second generation of larger Starlinks. This is 4K video recorded with the Canon R6 camera at ISO 64,000 and 1/8 second shutter speed with the Venus Optics 15mm lens wide open at f/2. Movie processing with Topaz Video AI and Pixelmator Pro, and editing with Final Cut Pro. Music is Beyond the Horizon by Adi Goldstein/AGSoundtrax.
