Hello there everyone, here is the full DVD “ヴェル・エール ~空白の瞬間の中で~de l'image“, containing the movie movie Verte aile / Bel air / Vers elle by MALICE MIZER, in HD. Call it how you want! This is a very good rip from the DVD, you certainly won't find any better quality then this on YouTube! This came in the collectors box La Collection des Singles - L'édition Limitée as a bonus DVD, it contains a non-dialogue/mute 30-minute film/movie. Synopsis: Gackt Camui, our hero and his wife Judith Chancel live together with Judith's brother Yu~Ki, and the nobleman Kami. One day, a fortune teller tells them they are cursed. The movie follows Gackt Camui going through depression and trying to find a way to solve the curse. My review: This movie is just like most of the EARLY music of MALICE MIZER (1992-1997), not the highest quality, but extremely unique, very enjoyable, and most of all really sad and beautiful. The pacing is okay, the scenes blend good with one another. The images and scenes are slow, but the story is told really fast, not a bad thing, but some people will definitely find it boring. The acting is also good, which is normal for a mute film (no voice acting required), and Gackts facial expressions are really well acted. The music is by no means Yann Tiersen, but perfect for the movie, really atmospheric and it sets the tone right. I could even enjoy it if it was on a soundtrack album. I like how they put in classical themes in some songs, like for example the intro string music is the melody of Rachmaninoff's first prelude in Cis. The camera work and editing is really good too. But there are a few logic-holes here and there, but not big ones, so that isn't a problem. Can you spot one? Comment! There is no character development, which is pretty normal for a 30-min mute film, so I can forgive that. The story itself is really really simple though, but it doesn't bother this film. The real beauty of this film is in the atmosphere, the feeling you get while watching it, and boy, this makes you really feel some feels. When I watch it, I always feel lonely and depressed. Something I noticed about the way this film is created, is that it seems more like the memory of someone, or the imagination of someone reading a story, more then actual events. This is achieved because of ignoring details and background characters, you only focus on the characters, the humans, the rest just seems filler or unclear. Very fitting, since the film is basically someone reading a book, and I really love this, it's so unique! The song at the end is kind of unfitting, the story has ended, everything is calm, the music fading out... and BAM, a rock song! But yeah, they had to put their main song in it, and after 30 seconds of adaptation, your heart is pumped up for rock and you want to hear the rest of the song. Final verdict: Not the highest quality, not for everyone, but one hell of an atmospheric and sad experience, I would recommend watching this if you have patience, enjoy slower movies, and love tragic romance. I would give it a 6.5/10 quality (short-mute film standards) and a 9/10 personal enjoyment.
