Amid violent protests, Kazakhstan has now turned to a Russia-led alliance for help. The protests, which erupted over a hike in fuel prices, have taken a violent turn in the last few days. Kazakhstan’s president has now reportedly directed security forces to “fire without warning“ at anti-government protesters.
