Текст с Bandcamp’а: “I’m not sure how clear the story in this song is from an outsider’s perspective. I know what it’s about, but I’m not entirely explicit about it in the song. But I guess that’s part of the fun. This track is a weird one in contrast with the rest of the album. It was recorded after most of the album was done, and I just needed an intro track. I was inspired by the way one of my favorite punk bands, Midori, usually starts their albums off with a quiet song that contrasts heavily with the utter chaos of the rest of the album. I liked how they toyed with their audience like that. It was like a big fuck you, right from the start. So I went back to my roots as a guitarist, and made a kinda somber bluesy song. As much as I experiment and try to does crazy stuff, at heart, I’m just a blues guitarist. This song has really grown on me, and become one of my favorites. It was a joy to write and record. lyrics When the sky’s out of blue come an’ tell me somethin’ I’ll die and so will you so come an’ tell me somethin’ If the stories are true come an’ tell me somethin’ There’s nothin’ you can do so come an’ tell me somethin’ When the clouds make a boom come an’ tell me somethin’ It ain’t now, but it’s soon so come an’ tell me somethin’ I’ve got noone but you so come an’ tell me somethin’ ’fore the bombs hit the roof come an’ tell me somethin’ from Boring, released January 2, 2016 All sounds were performed, recorded, produced, mixed, & mastered by Oddest Abe. Inspiration: Tom Waits, Beck, Early White Stripes, Boys Age, & Midori.“
