Harley Benton's R-446 has been a very popular guitar for this channel - and for good reason! For such an inexpensive guitar, it plays well, looks great, and has a ton of potential. It's the kind of starter/intermediate guitar that I wish I had when I was first learning! However, it's certainly not perfect, and there are some sticking points that I mentioned in my review of the guitar. So what do we do with guitar hardware that we feel isn't pulling its weight? We upgrade it! Aiming to fix the problems I had with it, I upgraded three crucial components of the R-446: the tuners, the bridge, and the pickups. How much did the replacement parts cost, and what kind of improvement did they make? How much did it affect the overall tone of the guitar? And how does it compare to a more expensive guitar offered by Harley Benton themselves? Watch on to find out!
