Sure, many shots are mirror images of what we saw in the original 1994 film, but there are many additional touches, flourishes and nods that might be overlooked by certain viewers. Of course, the biggest change of all is the fact that this film is live action - but you might be surprised to learn that all but one shot in the movie is animated with photorealistic computer technology. Other you may have missed include updated details surrounding Mufasa’s death, and the fact that several songs either cut from the original version or made for the Broadway musical, like “He Lives In You,” have found their way into the 2019 film. Songs like: “Spirit” and “The Morning Report” debut in this brand new telling of the Circle of Life.
