In today’s video, I’m answering a question from Andy, a 17-year-old viewer who’s passionate about starting an NLP coaching business. He’s already doing so many of the right things—reading books, watching videos, and preparing himself for success. My biggest piece of advice for him? Learn from someone who’s already done it. A great mentor has walked the path before you, made the mistakes, and figured out what works. They can help you shortcut years—sometimes even decades—of trial and error. I share my own experience with mentorship and how having someone like John, my mentor in my first business, completely changed my trajectory. Books and videos are great, but having a real-life guide who can answer your questions, show you opportunities, and help you avoid costly mistakes is priceless. If you’re serious about your goals, don’t just learn from a distance—go work with someone who’s living the success you want. Even if that means offering to help them for free, the education you’ll get in a few months will be worth more than years of trying to figure it out alone. So, if you’re looking to level up, go find a mentor! Find someone in your field, reach out, and offer value. Learn how they started, how they got their first clients, and how they built their business. The best way to grow is to learn from those who’ve already been there.
