Eyewitnesses reported hearing loud thundering sounds as the hailstones fell, causing panic and fear among residents. The hail damaged cars, shattered windows, and tore off roof tiles in several areas of the city. The storm also caused widespread power outages, leaving thousands of homes and businesses without electricity. Météo France has declared an orange alert level, the department is currently being hit by the first storms. Météo France has warned of increased winds and heavy rainfall in the southwest, as well as occasional snowfall over the Massif Central as Fien crosses the country from the southwest to the northeast.
