Marshal Georgy Zhukov Monument solemnly unveiled in Mongolia The Monument for four times Hero of the Soviet Union, the hero of the Mongolian People’s Republic, Marshal Georgy Zhukov was solemnly unveiled in Choibalsan, the capital of Mongolian Dornnod aimag. The ceremony was attended by Acting Commander of the Eastern Military District Mikhail Nosulev, Russian Ambassador to Mongolia Aleksei Yevsikov, Russian military and air attache in Mongolia Pavel Petrunin, Mongolian Defence Minister Sandagiin Byambatsogt, servicemen the armed forces of Russia and Mongolia - participants of the Selenga 2024 joint Russian-Mongolian military exercise. The granddaughter and great-granddaughter of Marshal Zhukov as well as participant of the Battles of Khalkhin Gol Tserengiin Chemedtseren arrived in Mongolia for the opening of the bust.
