In this video I react to a short documentary about “The Motherland Calls“ monument located in Volgograd, Russia which was known by a different name in the times of World War 2, Stalingrad. The battle for Stalingrad was one of the bloodiest battles in World War 2 It was also a huge turning point in the war for the Soviet Union and the rest of the world as the Red Army held off a 7 month long battle for the city in which millions of people lost their lives on all sides including civilians. This monument was built as a sign of victory and to honor the men and women who lost their lives in the defense of the city and the Motherland. Great video and beautiful monument.
