A Ukrainian soldier said in a video released on Monday (August 12) that Sudzha, a city in Russia's Kursk region, was not under Russian control and that they hadn't found Russian soldiers following a search of the city. Reuters was able to confirm the location from the buildings characteristics, street layout and trees which match satellite, file and street view imagery. Reuters was not able to independently verify the date. Kyiv is currently conducting its biggest incursion into sovereign Russian territory, in the Kursk region.
