In grateful memory to Gary Brooker (1945 - 2022) Procol Harum's 40th Anniversary Celebrations, London, St. John’s, Smith Square, 21 July 2007: THE LOST SONGS OF GARY BROOKER & KEITH REID performed by Gary Brooker and Guests Line up: Gary Brooker - voc, piano Tim Renwick - guitar Dave Bronze - bass Frank Mead - harmonica Martin Wright - drums “Alaskan King Fever“ is a Brooker composition in words and music, never released. Introduced by GB as a kind of follow-up to “The Angler“: he was in the tundra trying to prevent a mighty salmon pursuing its ancestral breeding path – 'I felt so ashamed that I was forced to write a song'.(BTP) This is the only public performance known. The pictures going with the music were taken the same night, but not during the performance of the song.
