The AFS module controls the operation of the headlights when the car is turning left or right, giving you greater road visibility at night. Though a lot of the time, there can be failures in the unit that can cost a lot of money to repair, or you have replaced your OEM Lexus headlights with an aftermarket unit that does not have the AFS capability.
