La Vuelta 2021 Stage 13 Highlights

A fairly long stage for La Vuelta at 240km, it's the penultimate chance for the sprinters to put in a good effort, with riders such as as (name) hoping to maintain their lead. Yet, whilst the route seems standard enough, exposed roads and blistering August heat may make for a challenging race. Starting in the village of Belmez, the riders travel north-west to Cabeza del Beuy. Heading further north the riders then cross the Embalse de la Serena and then with just 11km to go the first and only intermediate sprint is contested, before going on towards the finishing town of VIllanueva de la Serena where a sprint finish is sure to ensue.
