Situation in Syria as of March 2024:🇸🇾 SAA continued its desert operations against the ISIS insurgency in the region. Important to note is the use of air assets to deal with terrorist strongholds in close proximity to the area of control of rebel groups under the US umbrella in Tanf. The Idlib operation is getting closer every day, but the social networks seem to want to anticipate events, claiming that Suheil Hassan has been appointed commander-in-chief of the next operation. There is no doubt that this will be the case. However, as written above, the international and regional situation is not conducive to restarting ground operations in Idlib. This does not mean that the Syrian army will continue to weaken opposition groups in the north-west of the country, especially through the use of VVFs. Source: Suriyakmaps
