The lightweight green roofs made Marco think about the question if “we can create cities that are resilient”. Now he works on a project that aims to put lightweight green roofs on city busses. This project unlocks a lot of possibilities because using the roofs of busses would mean that 1,000,000 square feet of green space would be added to the city. That has a direct effect on the quality of life, as plants not only provide a habitat for pollinators and other animals that are beneficial for our environment, they also cool down cities.
