Steve Borden's character captured the imagination of fans throughout the late 80s and early 90s in WCW, becoming one of the company's most celebrated and popular superstars. When times began changing in wrestling, Sting was smart enough to move with the times and alter his character for a new generation of wrestling fans. In the summer of 1996, the nWo was formed in WCW and Sting would eventually became the group's main rival.
