Finally SCRATCH BUILDING the RC version of the Amati FIFIE. Tables and instructions I must say, are high quality, Amati has certainly surpassed itself with this new vessel. The instructions regarding the construction of the RC version model are less detailed though, and are not sufficient for the construction of the radio-controlled model. Cutting frames and keel to shape is quite simple given the smooth edges. There are only 11 bulkheads and they are already prepared for housing the motor, battery, ESC, receiver and servo. The keel is divided into two parts with a scull attachment. Lower deck and keel are 6mm thick while the frames are 4mm, both in MDF. I used a 4mm single panel of birch plywood for both. I used my small electric jigsaw from Proxxon for cutting decks, keels and frames To finish all the cut parts, the Proxxon TG 125 / E is essential, which unlike other sanders has the bench extremely close to the disc and it is extremely silent. As I’ll try to show you later, the drive shaft will be fix
