Here's a complete first-run airing (with commercials included) of the premiere episode of the short-lived series Project ., entitled “Sighting 4001: The Washington, D.C. Incident,“ as transmitted over WMAQ Channel 5. This show, from executive producer Jack Webb of Dragnet fame (he was also the voiceover on the opening title setup and within other portions of this episode), starred William Jordan as Major Jake Gatlin and Caskey Swaim as Staff Sergeant Harry Fitz. The show was loosely based on the real-life Project Blue Book undertaken by the U.S. Air Force. Featured in this episode (which dealt with a woman on a Virginia farm who saw a strange object in her yard, and an Air Force pilot chasing a UFO crashing and dying) were Anne Schedeen, Len Wayland, Frances Reid, Linwood McCarthy, John Findlater, Hoke Howell, Tim Donnelly, William Wellman, Jr., Jim B.
