Warning: Viewer discretion is advised Violence erupted outside Downing Street as far-Right protesters clashed with riot police in a demonstration in the wake of the attack subsequent riots in Southport. Crowds descended on central London at 7pm for the Enough is Enough rally, promoted by Tommy Robinson and actor Laurence Fox following the killing of three young girls at a Taylor Swift dance class in the Merseyside town. The Metropolitan Police issued a warning that “any disorder will be dealt with swiftly”, instructing protesters to remain within the immediate immediate vicinity of the Downing Street entrance gate and to leave by . However, scenes of violence have broken out, with crowds launching flares and bottles towards police, as well as marching down Whitehall singing chants of “England til I die” and “we want our country back”. It comes after a riot broke out last night outside a mosque in Southport in response to the killing of three young girls attending a holiday club this week. More than 50 officers were injured in the riot, with four arrests made so far. Supt Neil Holyoak, who is leading the policing of tonight’s protest in London, said previously: “Everyone has a right to protest and we continue to balance the right to lawful protest with everyone’s right to go about their lives without fear or serious disruption - which is why we have put conditions in place and deployed more officers across London. “I urge everyone to exercise their right to protest calmly and within the law.
