Scientists have solved the mystery of a vanished continent It is believed that about 155 million years ago, a significant piece of the continent 5000 kilometres long broke away from the western part of modern Australia and “floated away“ somewhere. Traces of this process in other studies have been found at the bottom of the ocean, where a void was formed. The authors of the work write that they were able to reconstruct the history of the lost continent. The results of the modelling show that Argoland was fragmented, but still exists today. All fragments of the missing continent arrived in their current “basing places“ at about the same time. As scientists report, Argoland is now there, but only hidden beneath the green jungles of much of Indonesia and Myanmar. Источник: Global News (EU, USA)
