The evacuation was prompted by artillery shelling and aerial bombardments from the fascist military council (SAC), which forced residents of villages in Buthidaung township, Arakan, such as Kagyaba, Kanbrun, Alaychaung, Mruangnar, Bagoona, and Latha, to flee. Around 7,000 Muslim civilians sought refuge in areas controlled by the Arakan Army and were received properly whilst some others ended up fleeing into Nakhakha (8) Battalion of the SAC in Buthidaung. #AA #Arakanarmy #Muslim #Buthidaung #Arakan
