This video provides a sequence of partner exercises for learning soft (feather) back breakfalls - one of the hardest breakfalls to learn. It also provides a nice foundation for proper koshi (hip throw), and for allowing partners to practice irimi nage (entering throw) at full speed. One characteristic of the method we show is that if nage is controlling uke's head and neck, they can still fall softly (some other excellent back feather falls require uke to turn toward nage).
