New footage shows crew of Russian landing ship Caesar Kunikov, sunk by Ukrainian kamikaze USVs (Unmanned Surface or Sea Vessels) on February 14, trying to repel the attack! . The battle against 10 kamikaze USVs lasted 20 minutes. Caesar Kunikov’s crew left the ship on life rafts, without loss of personnel. FB on last month’s attack: The crew of the landing craft “Caesar Kunikov“ repelled the attack of Ukrainian (UK made) drones with all available forces and means, the battle lasted 20 min. From start to finish, 40 mins passed. The crew left the ship on life rafts, w/o loss of personnel, and evacuated all secret documentation and equipment with weapons. At the moment, the crew are being made into cowards and scoundrels. I saw the clear work of the team working until the last minute. The crew, I think, at a minimum, deserves not to be made into villains. Asbery Notes: I like many of you know videos highlighting painful L’s suck but more heads need to roll. I don’t blame the crew but the Navy has done a poor job IMHO. Floodlights, ngv/thermal optics, additional deck crew, HMGs on the rails. I’m no naval expert and these attacks don’t influence the outcome of the war but while Russia is kicking Ukrainian tail right now there is still room for improvement.
