On Wednesday, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck southwest South Korea. It was the strongest earthquake to hit the country this year. The tremors occurred at 08:26 local time. The epicenter was at a depth of 8 kilometers, 7 kilometers from the city of Puan. The earthquake was felt in many parts of the country, including most of Seoul.
