This is Judy, two days after her 14th birthday. Recorded Friday, June 12, 1936, this is her earliest Decca recording available. Written by Edgar Sampson, Chick Webb, Benny Goodman, and Andy Razaf, Judy is backed by Bob Crosby and his Orchestra. This record was intended to promote Judy's popularity as MGM tried to discover film vehicles for her. This record features “Swing Mister Charlie“ as its b-side, and if requested, I'll post that. What a voice! There has never been a singer since! Judy did not record for Decca until over a year later. This was her last Decca recording session done in New York until 1945.
