Riders: Anthony Brouard / Swoard Team & Patrice Fivat / Extremecarving co-founder. Location: Zinal, Switzerland, black slope. Snowboards: Swoard Extremecarver Pro1 and Pro2. Images and Editing: Anthony Brouard. Extended version: Drones are giving interesting images of extremecarving to understand how it is possible riding like this. The original technique by the founders in 2002 is inspired from surfing: rotation of upper body and push-pull of the legs. The rider leads the board in rotation and can control pressure on toes and heels. Specific setup: modified hard boots (soft and long springs), reduced bindings angles and... the original extremecarving snowboards, which are wide alpine boards, not stiff longitudinally but with great torsion control, very stable and totally controllable: the rider is never locked in the turns. This is really different from snowboard racing with different timing and setup. It's also quite different from the tricks of the nineties, like the frontside
