For our first ever bullet train ride, we decided to book the Nozomi Shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka. This is Japan's fastest bullet train line, and we had a blast experiencing it and reviewing it for you! Our first impressions of Japan's fastest bullet trains is that the ride isn't long enough! We almost regret booking the fastest shinkansen, because we would have loved to be on the bullet train for longer. Our journey started at Tokyo Station, which is where the Tokyo Metro and Shinkansen lines meet, meaning it is a super busy station! We highly recommend going to the platform a bit early so you can head to the front of the bullet trains and really enjoy these manmade wonders before boarding.
