Curious quokka hopping out of the bushes to smell us on a break from our bike ride on Rottnest Island, Western Australia. Don’t touch or feed the animals on the island. When we stopped riding, a few came over to smell us. Rottnest Island is a very nice ferry ride from Fremantle (near Perth) and has plenty of gorgeous beaches to cool off at. Help quokkas on the mainland of WA: How to visit them on Rottnest:
