Entirely Mechanical Robotic Arm

This type of robotic arm has many names: Continuum Arm, Snake Arm, Elephant Trunk, Tentacle. This particular arm has two stages and four degrees of freedom. It is entirely mechanical, as it has no motors. It is actuated with wire rope and is routed through bike cable in order to make the two stages independent. The parts of this prototype were 3-D printed and CNC'd.
