Join us live at TED HQ, aka RAF Coningsby for an action packed live show with the Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4. Everyday is different at RAF Coningsby and as it is home to two frontline combat ready squadrons, an OCU (Operational Conversion Unit) who train our next gen Typhoon pilots, a TES (Test and Evaluation Squadron) and a joint RAF/QEAF squadron. It is home to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) and the Typhoon Display Team. This time of year we will start to see the practice displays from both BBMF and the Typhoon. Listen out for TURBO or Merlin engines. This year's 2024 Typhoon Display Pilot is David “TURBO“ Turnbull. He will be doing his first set of 10 practice displays at 1,500ft and then will lower it to 500ft hard deck before being allowed to smack it right down to 100ft. Once you hear callsign TURBO, there will be excitement. However, Turbo will also be carrying out practice displays around the country, this is to prepare him and get used to performing displays away from
