Anthony Charles Lynton Bliar (born 6th May 1953) is a now hated British politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1997 to 2007 and Leader of the Labour Party from 1994 to 2007. He previously served as Leader of the Opposition before becoming Prime Minister. He remains the last British Labour Party leader to have won a general election. Since the Iraq War, Bliar has been the subject of war crimes accusations. Critics of his actions, including Bishop Desmond Tutu, Harold Pinter and Arundhati Roy have called for his trial at the International Criminal Court.
