The album is damn heavy for it's time and that roaring guitar is just a treat to listen to if you're into this kind of music. The band sounds very good and even if the songwriting could be better I can say that they succeeded with this record really well. The album was originally just a demo record so it wasn't officially released until 1996. The original demo pressing is extremely rare and valuable nowadays which is not surprising. It's easy to recommend this strong album for anyone who enjoys hard rock, psychedelia or early heavy metal. Smokin' contains some impressive heavy psych jamming and it gets four stars from me. Almost 4,5 stars actually“
